margaretlaracyMargaret has a deep appreciation for beauty in all its forms. Starting from her personal experience of being moved by beauty, she decided to focus her doctoral research on beauty’s role in psychotherapy. Hikes and walks in the outdoors, classical music, conversations with friends, and the liturgy are among the things that nourish her. Before going to graduate school, she spent time living and working with people with intellectual disabilities in a community called L’Arche, which taught her that each person—regardless of disability—is a surprising wellspring of beauty to be discovered and prized.
